Leigh Behrens President / Editor-in-Chief
Passionate about bringing more women’s voices into the growing global online conversation, Leigh Behrens is an award-winning journalist and nationally recognized new media leader. She’s held top online roles at the New York Times Co. and Chicago Tribune and led the success of the acclaimed metromix.com national entertainment brand (now in 40 markets). She’s also a co-founder of Tribune’s RedEye edition and has edited a national magazine for women. Known for developing innovative online content, business and marketing strategies, she’s taught at the Poynter Institute and American Press Institute. Behrens is a Foundation Board member of the grassroots non-profit Friends of the Children of Haiti (fotcoh.org), volunteers at its medical clinic in that country and continues to be profoundly inspired by the resilience and creativity of the people she’s privileged to meet and serve there.
Richard Luther: IT & Project Manager
Richard Luther honed his knowledge of technology by building and repairing computer systems for his fellow college students in Northern California. He later joined an IT Department where he assisted faculty, staff, and students in keeping the University network running. His success and interests in business and technology led him to his IT position at PNN.com.
Jaime Martinez: Journalist and craftsmaven
Jaime has had a passion for recording stories, and making things, ever since she could firmly grasp a crayon and draw a picture of the day’s activities. Thankfully, her communication and craft skills have gotten more sophisticated as she has grown. Her mediums including journaling, photography, scrapbooking, blogging, and every thing that can be sewn, glued, or knitted.
Today, Jaime writes Cereals.pnn.com and hosts its podcast show.
Recently, Jaime has started her own crafts company, and will be featured on pnn both in person and as a place to find and purchase her wonderful work.
Steve Greek - Graphics & theme support artist
Steve is our theme designer and web image guru. He has sharpened his skills over the years on imagery for business web sites, designing templates & cascading style sheets for web applications and now supporting pnn.com in the sparkling web2.0 world. Mr. Greek has been recognized for excellent achievements in support projects for Boeing, NASA and work on educational software products for Electronic Arts. And in his spare time, Steve surfs the calm, cool waters off the California coast.
